Flylogix announces further senior appointments

Unmanned aviation company, Flylogix, has announced further senior appointments as it continues to expand, following recent successes in attracting investment, the completion of a series of flights in the North Sea measuring methane emissions, and the establishment of permanent bases in Shetland and Aberdeen.

Daniel Ruback has joined as Chief Financial Officer, bringing a strong strategic, operational and M&A background with experience in the aviation, technology and engineering sectors in Europe and the US. He is responsible for all financial aspects of Flylogix with a focus on business partnering and problem-solving.

Prior to joining Flylogix, Daniel was CFO and a board member of AIM-listed Gama Aviation plc, spent five years as Financial Director (EMEA) for Signature Aviation plc, and eight years at the FTSE100 engineering business Smiths Group plc.

“This is an exciting time to be joining Flylogix,” says Daniel. “The sheer potential of unmanned aviation in emissions measurement, environmental monitoring, logistics, and search and rescue, is really coming into focus now, and I’m hugely impressed with the quality of operations, engineering and ambition that the business has.”

And Mark Briffa has joined the board of Flylogix, bringing extensive experience and knowledge of the aviation services sector. Mark has worked for global aviation and services business Air Partner (which was acquired for $109m by Wheels Up in 2022) – firstly as Chief Operation Officer, and since 2010 as Chief Exec. Mark’s role at Flylogix is to scrutinise and optimise performance improvement and growth, clarity of objectives, customer service and business development.

“There is such a positive atmosphere at Flylogix right now, and the business is attracting high-quality, like-minded people in a range of disciplines. And so we’re making sure that the structures, culture and systems are sufficiently robust to underpin the rapid growth that we anticipate.”

Chief Executive Officer Charles Tavner added, “We’re delighted to welcome two such experienced aviation operators as Daniel and Mark, as we embark on our next phase of expansion.”
