Established in 2015, Flylogix have recently won multiple projects with some very well-known companies and have also secured significant funding to rapidly expand the company. We have completed flights in 2019, 2020 and 2021, and in 2022 are setting up long term bases and increasing our fleet of unmanned aircraft to service our oil and gas customers.

We’re seeking Electro-Mechanical Technicians to join a growing, dynamic team based in our in-house workshop at Fareham, assembling and maintaining a range of custom unmanned aircraft systems and support equipment. The role offers the opportunity to show-off your craftsmanship and demonstrate a passion through all stages of product assembly and iteration.

You will:

  • Be responsible for assembly of unmanned aerial vehicles and support equipment in accordance with engineering instructions and to a delivery schedule.
  • Understand and use technical documentation related to workflows, assembly processes, rework modifications, and maintenance procedures with consistency and accuracy.
  • Evaluate and improve electromechanical system deficiencies.
  • Perform wire harness assembly, terminal crimping, and cable routing.
  • Be excellent at communicating ideas and problems to technicians, engineers, and quality teams.
  • Be able to work independently as well as in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Consistently produce high-quality workmanship.



  • Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred, or HND, BTec or relevant time served experience.
  • Background in aviation is preferred.
  • UAS-specific assembly and maintenance experience.
  • Experience with electromechanical assembly work including wiring and small surface mount soldering.
  • Experience working with circuit boards, cameras, flexes, or other sensitive electrical systems.
  • Various machine shop tooling and equipment experience.
  • Troubleshooting and reworking electronics or other complex mechanical assemblies.
  • Solid understanding of Lithium-Ion battery technology and how it relates to UAS.
  • Experience following complex instructions, schematics, and procedures.
